My Mission: To educate young athletes and parents of all the truths (science) on how to help them. I have been tired of seeing theses "cookie cutter" programs that mislead parents and the children. Yes get a kid to lift, run, and jump and yes they all improve. And the lack of developing these kids properly with science based information is what is leading to more injuries or lack of progression of performance and general health. I don't blame all performance companies or trainers because there is a chance that they just don't understand the developmental stages of youth like they should. So it is up to you PARENTS to step up and start this push for real science and well being for your kids.
I use realistic science based methods to improve your kids sports performance or general fitness abilities. You must not fall for a corporate image and you should look for more individual qualities in programs. I refuse to decrease quality because of quantity. And what works for an adult athlete will cause relative results in any kid because ALL kids are continually improving speed, coordination, strength (12 and above hit puberty and those hormones cause strength increases with weight training), agility and all those functions because they are GROWING UP. Power, quickness, speed, agility are all produced from the foundation of joint stability and the proper range of motion. I don't understand how a professional can see that a kid doesn't have the right range of motion and using compensations to do a movement and will continue to allow it. It has to be that they are just not educated enough in their profession or they are just making money like at a mill.
We must teach them how to tune their bodies to prevent those painful injuries and become the best they can. START making your kid that you love and care for, a true athlete or active person.
STOP the cookie cutter designed programs. These companies claiming to improve your childs performance by making everyone flipping tires sounds cool and that is what we see MMA pros doing!! Stop and think for a minute. Is that what you want is your child to just be doing cool things that a professional athlete does. KIDS ARE AT A DIFFERENT STAGE OF DEVELOPMENT! We need to be training them to become athletes and develope techniques in movement patterns. Most importantly is to prevent injuries. If you fix up an engine to have the double horse power and you don't add components to keep it from wearing out, then it will break eventually. If you want to learn more contact me.
It might be that you want your child to be more fit or you want them to get better in a sport. In each case it is important to make it fun and enjoyable at the same time. Self esteem is important for your kids mental development as well. I will do a full postural evaluation to determine where all imbalances are at so he or she can excell in any goal.
Nutrition is also a main key to make sure youth is healthy and has peak results from effort put in with training.
Nutrition is one of the most important parts of fitness for youth. This is where they will develope habits later in life. I have a full understanding that these are kids and I'm not going to make them eat only veggies, but I must make sure they get the right amounts of all the macro-nutrients possible. Remember parents you play a huge roll in how well your child will succeed.
